Transport Manager

As Transport Manager your role is to secure a good service to our customers in a climate smart way at the right cost.

You will also play a key role in preparing the Thule Group forwarders and supply chain for increased share of Business-To-Consumer sales.

As Transport Manager you are highly involved in achieving the Thule Group goals of delivery performance, cost efficiency and sustainability.

This involves balancing service, cost and environmental requirements on transport in a growing business.

Role Description

• Responsible for inbound and outbound transports for Thule Group within region Europe & ROW.

• Responsible for transport purchasing & contract negotiation.
• Support the transport administration team in Huta, Poland.
• Drive continuous improvements by identify improvement opportunities, potential synergies and sustainability initiatives within transportation.

• Consolidate global spend and set tracking metrics for performance management.
• Drive digitalization & visualization of transports, costs and CO2-emissions related to transports.
• Explore and drive implementation of automated systems to handle transport related processes within Thule Group.

• Participate and support in projects, representing the transportation part of the supply chain.

Experience and Profile

To be successful in the role, we expect you to have experience in a similar role or in an operational position at a larger forwarding company.

Experience in transportation for an FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) company would be advantageous. Having worked in an international environment, along with various operational functions within a company, would also contribute to a strong profile.

Fluency in both spoken and written English is essential, given the global nature of the group. Additionally, you should possess higher education or equivalent work experience.

As an individual, you are highly motivated and result driven.

You possess excellent communication skills and excel at building relationships and negotiating successfully. You demonstrate strong analytical, conceptual, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, and you have a structured personality.
