Each year, we close a broad range of transactions for leading private equity houses, as well as numerous blue-chip corporate clients and business founders.

Your Role

Lincoln International is seeking a Senior Associate or VP to join our rapidly growing M&A practice in Stockholm as part of a major European effort within Infrastructure and Renewable Energy.

Successful candidates have strong cognitive and interpersonal abilities, want to develop their professional and personal skills, and are motivated by the prospect of building a leading M&A advisory firm.

The position is for a highly-specialized senior investment banking associate or VP with a specialization in infrastructure related cross-border transactions (e.g., electric grid components, digital infrastructure, data centers, renewable energy, etc.

). Although the position may include work on various assignments outside the core focus, the main purpose of the employment is to bring highly specialized international expertise and experience within infrastructure related M&A and financing transactions (e.

g., electric grid components, digital infrastructure, data centers, renewable energy, etc.). The Employee is expected to share his expertise with other employees with the aim to establish a knowledge hub in Stockholm within the infrastructure and renewable energy sectors that are vital for the sustainable and economic development of Sweden.

Key responsibilities:

  • Performing financial analyses and valuations
  • Conducting industry research
  • Identifying and contacting potential buyers or acquisition targets
  • Preparing confidential information memoranda and management presentations
  • Identifying opportunities and establish relationships both within and outside the core sectors
  • Interacting with the European and US Infrastructure team to drive international initiatives in the Nordic region
  • Interacting with senior bankers and clients’ senior executives globally
  • Participating in new business meetings
  • Hosting visits by potential buyers at client facilities
  • Supporting senior bankers during transaction negotiations
  • Facilitating due diligence and transaction closings
  • Leading or implementing initiatives focused on growing the firm’s franchise value
  • Participate in the production of “Thought Pieces” related to the Infrastructure and Renewable Energy markets

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in accounting and finance and strong business acumen
  • Deep understanding of the Infrastructure and Renewable Energy markets
  • Full professional proficiency in a Nordic language and English
  • Assertive, self-motivated and desire to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

  • University degree in business, finance, economics, or similar field
  • 5 years+ of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction services, in-house corporate M&A and/or infrastructure-related work
  • Extensive soft and hard skills training programs as well as mentoring programs with senior bankers
