We are building a new plant in Uddevalla which will operate with Scandinavian Enviro Systems leading technology for recovering end of life tyres.

About the role

The Logistics and Procurement Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the logistics and procurement department.

The role includes managing a team consisting of one procurement engineer and two logistics coordinators. You are responsible of ensuring smooth and compliant transport of dangerous goods, as well as optimizing procurement processes in alignment with ISO 9001/14001 standards.

The position will be an important part in driving the startup phase towards operational excellence and sustainability, embodying leadership, teamwork, and a keen focus on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices.

Key responsibilities

  • Direct and manage the logistics and procurement team. Ensure the team is motivated, skilled, and well-coordinated to meet the plant's operational requirements.

  • Oversee and optimize the transportation of all goods including dangerous goods, including compliance with ADR regulations.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies and processes that align with ISO 9001/14001 standards, enhancing quality management and environmental performance.

  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and value for the plant.
  • Champion a strong HSE culture within the team, for all operations and across all logistics and procurement activities.

  • Employ excellent problem-solving skills to address and resolve operational challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to plant activities.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with the Site Manager and other department heads.

    Provide regular updates on logistics and procurement activities, challenges, and achievements.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, procurement, or related field.

  • Several years of work experience in an international environment with large industrial projects or industry.
  • Proven Experience in logistics and procurement within the industrial sector, specifically with dangerous goods and adherence to ADR regulations.

  • Experience in developing and optimizing procurement processes in line with ISO 9001/14001 standards.
  • Familiarity with the startup environment and the flexibility and adaptability it requires.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial HSE practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Office, and financial management software.
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English.

Tyre Recycling Uddevalla AB is part of a new joint venture initiative, promoted and owned by Antin Infrastructure Partners, a leading infrastructure investment fund, Scandinavian Enviro System, a Swedish technology company that has developed a unique and patented technology for the extraction of carbon black and pyrolysis oil from end-of-life tyres, and Michelin, a leading worldwide manufacturer of tyres.

The aim of the joint venture is to create the world's first large-scale tyre recycling group, entirely powered by Enviro proprietary technology and whose first plant is the one being built in Uddevalla.

The vision is to create a cleaner and greener world by reducing the environmental impact of tire waste, while offering a profitable and sustainable solution for tire recycling that meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental performance.
