The HVDC business of Hitachi Energy is growing rapidly to meet society’s need of electrification and green transition. A key enabler is to have an efficient Supply Chain organization, reducing cost while maintaining high quality and on-time delivery in the context of unprecedented growth.

In the role as Global Supply Chain Specialist, you will be part in shaping the strategy for HVDC Supply Chain, supporting implementation of global initiatives and identifying ways of making our operations more efficient.

The role reports directly to the Global Head of Supply Chain Management in HVDC and is part of the HVDC SCM management team, meaning that you will have a significant impact on the organization and its operation.

You will work with all teams across the Supply Chain Management function, supporting them in how to become more effective and efficient as well as driving communication with stakeholders across our business.

Your responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of global strategies within HVDC Supply Chain Management function
  • Contribute to development and implementation of global tools and processes within the function
  • Drive digitalization within the function – supporting initiatives such as supplier capacity demand planning and application of AI to improve efficiency and accuracy in our operations.

  • Drive excellence within the function, identifying the best solutions to challenges and driving best practice implementation
  • Identify training needs across the function to support our strategy implementation and drive the related training program
  • Support the function in change management, fostering a culture where change is encouraged and well managed – includes supporting improvement initiatives
  • Establish clear and transparent communication within the function as well as cross-functionally – create and maintain the function’s communication strategy
  • Drive the business continuity work within the function

Your background

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or other relevant area
  • 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management roles
  • Strong understanding of Supply Chain Management processes and methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven formal or informal leader with solid influencing skills
  • Experience with development of digital tools and knowledge of existing tools on the market
