We are looking for a front end developer to join our Editorial Services team, in the Shared Product & Platform(SPP) department. SPP is a central organization that has an impact on newsrooms and works in close collaboration of all our news brands such as Aftonbladet & SvD in Sweden and VG & Aftenposten in Norway.

About the role Join us in developing and maintaining the editorial newsroom print automation platform provided by our SaaS partner Aptoma The team is working on improving the editorial print workflow, where we help the newsrooms to be more efficient by automating and creating responsive web-page templates based on the newspapers brand specifications.

To thrive in this role you should enjoy not only developing web-based templates in mostly HTML and CSS but also helping with various support issues for our stakeholders. You will partner up with and work closely with the Print Automation System Manager.

In this role you will:- Develop and support newsrooms’ print design specifications- Have a dialogue with our super-users & SaaS partner Aptoma on development tasks- Work closely with the System Manager on implementation projects.

About you:- You have in-depth knowledge of HTML/CSS and knowledge of Github for code management- You are used to handling ongoing workflows in Jira and/or ServiceNow- You are a great team player with good communication skills- You have proven experience of development and maintenance of a system/systems over time- You are good at establishing and maintaining great working relationships- Swedish or Norwegian is required, Fluent in English (both written and spoken)We offer you the opportunity to:- Use your developing skills to help developing, maintaining, and managing the entire life cycle of the print automation platform for our newsrooms together with the system manager- Work within a major media company- Solve challenging problems in a complicated and evolving business environment- Work in a hybrid setup, with 2-3 days a week from our officeAbout us Editorial Services team is a team that manages, provides, supports and develops various services focused in areas such as image, printed newspaper & e-paper production and archive solutions for the newsrooms.
