About the role

As a Cost Controller you will initially control and monitor the Capital Budget as well as the new plant project authorisations for expenditures (AFE) spending.

Once the development of the Uddevalla plant is completed, the role will focus on the Opex associated with the normal production operations. Including but not limited to, budget control, cost forecasting, estimation, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Track, analyse, support and plan costs across different departments and activities.
• Review budget variances, investigate discrepancies and identify trends.

• Work with department heads to establish cost targets and monitor performance against budgetary goals.
• Develop and implement cost control procedures and policies.
• Prepare regular cost reports and presentations for management review.

• Control and monitor project expenditures including verifying and checking of invoices and reconciling them to Purchase Orders.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, procurement, and operations, to gather relevant cost data and information.

• Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to optimize cost management processes, including assisting with the preparation of new plant AFEs.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities related to cost control.

• Actively contribute to the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.

• Proven experience in cost control, financial analysis, or management accounting.
• Several years of work experience in an international environment with large industrial projects or industry.

• Proficiency in financial modelling and cost analysis techniques.
• Technical knowledge in cost planning and project management.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, Ms Office, and financial management software.

• Proficiency in Swedish and English.

Personal attributes

Capable of analysing and understanding complex data and financial information with a high level of precision.

A problem solver with great communication and interpersonal skills. You can work well with others and on your own in a team that involves different functions.

Tyre Recycling Uddevalla AB is part of a new joint venture initiative, promoted and owned by Antin Infrastructure Partners, a leading infrastructure investment fund, Scandinavian Enviro System, a Swedish technology company that has developed a unique and patented technology for the extraction of carbon black and pyrolysis oil from end-of-life tyres, and Michelin, a leading worldwide manufacturer of tyres.

The aim of the joint venture is to create the world's first large-scale tyre recycling group, entirely powered by Enviro proprietary technology and whose first plant is the one being built in Uddevalla.
