Randstad Engineering is currently seeking a motivated and innovative Eco-Design and Life Cycle Assessment Engineer for a consulting assignment at our clients site in Finspång.

In this role, you will play a part in guiding product development in alignment with eco-design principles, assessing environmental impacts throughout our clients products' life cycle, and advocating for sustainability within their organization and beyond.

Ansvarsområden

  • Guide product development to adhere to principles of reduced material impacts, enhanced manufacturing efficiency, and minimized distribution impacts.

  • Establish supporting processes and instructions to facilitate efficient product development for reusability, recyclability, or composting at the end of product life.
  • Develop strategies to minimize energy and material consumption during product use, extend system longevity, facilitate transitional systems, and optimize end-of-life disposal.

  • Evaluate the environmental impact of our clients products throughout their life cycle, utilizing LCA methodologies.
  • Ensure the quality, validity, and credibility of LCA studies, adhering to international standards and best practices such as ISO 14040 and ISO 14044.

  • Prepare sales documents for Environment Product Declarations.
  • Conduct impact assessments using relevant impact categories and methods.
  • Stay updated of the latest developments and trends in eco-design, sustainability, and LCA fields.

  • Communicate eco-design strategies, LCA results, and recommendations effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain processes and instructions related to LCA and Eco-Design.


Kvalifikationer

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an eco-design or related role.

  • Comprehensive product knowledge and fundamental project management skills.
  • Proficiency in LCA methodologies and eco-design principles.
  • Familiarity with ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Swedish and English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated passion for sustainability and environmental issues.
